There is something almost cinematic about arriving in Salzburg. Church domes and Baroque towers rise above the Old Town, a medieval fortress watches over the city, and the Salzach River flows beneath the mountains.
Salzburg is elegant without feeling overwhelming, historic without feeling like a museum, and wonderfully walkable.

What I love about Salzburg is how naturally everything comes together: Mozart's music, beautiful historic streets, romantic gardens and mountains on the horizon. It's a city that invites us to explore without rushing.
[ THE EXPERIENCE ]
From Mozart's Salzburg to the magic of the Alps.
We'll begin in Salzburg's UNESCO-listed historic center, where narrow streets open onto magnificent Baroque squares. Above the city rises Hohensalzburg Fortress, the enormous medieval stronghold that has dominated the skyline for more than 900 years. Along the way, we'll discover beautiful churches, Salzburg Cathedral and the architectural details that give the city its distinctive character.
We'll also explore Getreidegasse, Salzburg's famous historic shopping street, with its ornate wrought-iron signs and narrow passageways leading into hidden courtyards. Here we'll see the house where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in 1756 and discover stories of his childhood and extraordinary musical legacy.

The Salzburg of The Sound of Music.
Another side of the city comes alive through the famous film. We'll discover locations connected with The Sound of Music, hear about the real von Trapp family behind the Hollywood story, and explore the elegant Mirabell Gardens, with their fountains, sculptures and memorable film connections.
Baroque beauty and Alpine views.
Throughout the day, the mountains are never far away. We'll enjoy views of the Salzach River, beautiful squares and the fortress above the rooftops, with time for photographs, a traditional Austrian café, local shops or simply a moment to take in the atmosphere.
